Single ini merupakan lagu musim panas yang menyegarkan dan menampilkan pesona Jungkook secara penuh.
Selain itu, single ini juga menampilkan kolaborasi dengan rapper asal Amerika Serikat, Latto, yang pernah dinominasikan untuk Grammy Award.
Big Hit Music mengumumkan single solo Jungkook pada 29 Juni 2023 melalui media sosial dan Weverse, sebuah platform online di mana artis dapat berinteraksi dengan penggemarnya.
Lagu Seven merupakan bagian dari proyek solo Jungkook yang disebut JJK1. Selain single solo ini, Jungkook juga sedang mengerjakan album solo pertamanya yang belum diketahui kapan akan dirilis.
